Desert Herb

A smoky, herbal, and slightly spicy cocktail that blends the boldness of the Southwest with the mystique of Chartreuse.

Ingredients:

  • 1 oz Mezcal (for a smoky Southwestern base)

  • 0.75 oz Green Chartreuse (herbal complexity)

  • 0.5 oz Lime juice (zesty brightness)

  • 0.5 oz Agave nectar (sweet balance)

  • 1 slice jalapeño (for a gentle kick)

  • Optional: 1 dash orange bitters

Instructions:

  1. Muddle the jalapeño slice in a shaker (remove seeds for less heat).

  2. Add the mezcal, Chartreuse, lime juice, agave, and bitters.

  3. Fill with ice and shake well.

  4. Strain into a chilled coupe glass or over ice in a rocks glass.

  5. Garnish with a lime wheel and a jalapeño ring or a sprig of cilantro.
